WHERE WE ARE GOING
"Every Member, Every Walk" was born from a desire to see two things. First, we envision a church where every member is maturing in Christ and their calling in Christ. Every member of Park Hill is provided an opportunity to grow and mature as a follower of Jesus Christ. We are always looking for ways to do this better. The role of the pastoral staff is to equip the church to mature and to do the ministry of the Gospel (Ephesians 4:12). Each member is called to abide in Christ (John 15), this means taking their spirituality seriously andworking on themselves as they serve Christ and others. Also, every member is called to own the Great Commission as a part of their daily life. Every single member of Park Hill is called to share the gospel and make disciples.
Secondly, we envision a church that reaches "every walk of life." Not only is every member called to make disciples, we realize that there is not a single part of our society that we are not called to be active in sharing the hope of the Gospel. "Every walk" simply means that we take the Apostle Paul seriously when he states that, in Christ, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).
We want to make disciples in every walk of life. We want to equip every church member to do their God-given part in reaching people for the Kingdom.
So, where are we going? By God's grace, we are moving toward being the kind of church that is making disciples and loving people no matter their background or walk of life.
