State of our Church Address

Dear Clark County,

On May 5th, Park Hill had a "State of our Church Address" to discuss the state of our church and our reopening strategy. Watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9larsTUyJbI or review the plan below.

Resuming Corporate Worship

  1.  After discussions within the staff and the deacon body, the decision was made to tentatively plan to resume in-person worship services at Park Hill Baptist after the state and national government announces that we are entering Phase 3 of Post-COVID 19 regulations.  If all Phases go as planned, that date is tentatively Sunday, June 7th.

  2. This “soft re-opening” on June 7th would consist of strictly 2 or 3 worship services (no childcare, Lifegroups, or Sunday School classes).  We would limit our congregation size in each service so we could safely social distance, and we would follow governmental and AR Baptist convention guidelines for sanitizing, social distancing, and other procedures.

  3. At the entry of Phase 2 (tentatively May 18th), we will begin encouraging Lifegroups and other small groups to safely meet in outdoor settings and practice social distancing. This will be to each Lifegroup’s discretion as to whether they meet in person or continue virtually meeting.

  4. Online services will still be offered indefinitely for those who are not comfortable with resuming in-person worship at this time.

  5. We will be putting together a ReLaunch team consisting of some medical professionals within our church, deacons, and staff to help plan how to safely resume our in-person meetings.

Children/Youth Activities

  1.  Pastor Joseph and Pastor Adam have made the tough decisions to cancel this summer’s camps (Camp Fuego and Bogg Springs).  Other day activities will be planned later this summer, if possible, to keep the students and kids engaged with each other and learning about Jesus!

  2. Our Park Hill Kidz Camp (VBS) will possibly be moved to one weekend in late fall.

  3. All online opportunities for worship (Children’s Time, Youth worship opportunities) will continue until further notice.

Financial State of the Church

  1.  THANK YOU for continuing to give to Park Hill during this time.  Please feel free to continue giving online, mailing your payment into the church (3163 Hollywood Road), or contacting the church office to have a staff member pick it up from you.

  2. We are very sensitive to those who have lost their jobs or have taken a significant cut during this time, and we are praying for them.

  3. Right now, we are currently about $22,000 (15%) under budget for this year.  However, statistics show that many churches in AR are behind by 25% in their giving right now.

  4. Pediatrics Plus continues to rent our downstairs area during the week, and this rent provides us a good “cushion” to help us if the need arises.

  5. However, our goal is to meet our budget for this year.

  6. We encourage you to make this a matter of prayer and to continue to give as God directs you so we can continue to share the good news of Jesus to this community, nation, and the world!
